Thiruchendur Temple

As a mark of respect towards the women who had visited and stayed in the Thiruchendur temple, the Yogeeswara community was specially considered by the authorities of the temple. Apart from this Ayyanar is being worshipped in the temple even today and the Lord Shastha is also worshipped in Thiruchendur.

Nagarcoil Temple

There is a custom in Kariyamkulam Sree Bhagavathi Temple that, before commencing the Kodiyettu, every year, prasadam is brought from the Nagaramman temple at Nagarcoil. It is to commemorate the journey of the women from Kanchipuram. Hence Nagar, is worshipped here as a part of the temple ritual. It is believed that if Nagar is worshipped, the effect of ‘Naga dosham’ would be perfectly eliminated.

Mandaikadu Temple

It is believed that The Lord Madan Thampuran , one of the Devas of Mandaikadu accompanied Kanchi Kamakshi on the way to Kariyamkulam, with the women of Kanchipuram. Hence Lord Madan Thampuran is worshipped in Kariyamkulam on Sivarathri day as a mark of gratitude.

Thittamangalam Temple

A custom related to this temple is still continuing like bringing prasadam from the Nagaramman temple. On the final day of the Kariyamkulam Meenamahotsvam prasadam is brought from the Thittamangalam temple, where Kariyamkulam temple had earlier existed.
